Skills for Life is a new nationwide programme delivered through Ireland’s public libraries, offering people across the country access to practical learning opportunities to support everyday life. Whether you want to feel more confident online, manage your finances, understand media, or live more sustainably – your local library is here to help.

This initiative aims to equip adults and young adults with the essential skills needed to navigate modern life and focuses on 6 key areas:

  • digital literacy,
  • financial literacy,
  • media literacy,
  • business and employment skills,
  • health awareness,
  • sustainable lifestyles and environmental awareness

Talks, discussions and workshops relating to the above topics are arranged throughout the year in every Kilkenny Library.
