The years between 1913 and 1923 witnessed many important events throughout Kilkenny and Ireland, which really did change the course of Irish history. Over the past few years, many commemorations were held to remember the centenary (100 years) of these events and the people that took part in them. The government has called this time; ‘The Decade of Centenaries’.
