Linda Kirwan, local co-ordinator for an information session on the new Kilkenny Age friendly homes programme will be here to give advice on the changes you can make to your home to make it more suitable and what’s available grant wise for to make the changes.
Safeguarding for older people Thursday May 16th at 12pm
Kate and Claire from the HSE will give advice on safeguarding older people against elder abuse.
Elder abuse can take many forms, physical, financial, neglect or psychological. Empower yourself and others in your community and learn how to identify elder abuse and learn what supports are available.
If you have any concerns about elder abuse regarding yourself or an older member of your family, a friend or someone in your community call into our information pop up session at your local library.
