Kilkenny has a number of local voluntary organisation that provides information and supports.

Kilkenny Recreation and Sports Partnership (KRSP) leads a range of initiatives supporting people to stay active in their local areas through the winter. Sporting organisations and clubs will also develop ways to support our local communities.

Eating Well

Safefood.ie is a great resource for easy recipes. Their book 101 Square Meals is available to access online here. Meal planning can be tricky at these times and so Safefood have compiled a three week meal planner on their website which is available here.

Keeping in contact

Building on the Community Call response earlier in the year, Kilkenny County Council continues to provide a local community helpline. This is a confidential service 1800 326 522. Help someone to ‘Get Started’ online or with new technologies by sharing a link or printing a guide from the Age Action resources. There are a range of guides helping people to get online, use video calls etc. For more information click here.

Switching Off

Switching off and being creative or learning something new, getting back to nature and finding ways to relax can help our general wellbeing.

Kilkenny Library Service are offering a door to door service for the over 65’s, online resources, dial-a-story, Ireland Reads/Rewarding Reads events/activities etc. For more information see www.kilkennylibrary.ie
